Snapper LT300 LT2044 lawn tractor review | snapper lawn tractor

Written by admin on May 13, 2011 – 10:17 pm -

Though they are perhaps better known for their rear-engine models, Snapper brings excellent quality and comfort to their line of front-engine lawn tractors. The LT300 LT2044 is a mid-level mower, offering plenty of power and performance but skipping some of the top-end features of the company's higher-priced models. The LT300 LT2044 comes with a hearty 20-hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard overhead valve engine and a K57 hydrostatic automatic transmission. The engine is much quieter then many other models, and the Automatic Controlled Traction (ATC) works well to keep users from getting... more

Cub Cadet SLT 1550 Garden Tractor Review

Written by admin on July 11, 2009 – 2:17 pm -

Overall the Cub Cadet SLT 1550 is a good lawn tractor with good performance for large lawns and yards. The powerful 25 hp Kohler engine has twin overhead valves and there is a hydrostatic transmission system. The top forward speed is 5.2 mph and it copes with inclines well. The deck is a large 50? which can be adjusted for 1.5 to 4? cutting heights. The deck is stable at all heights but the draft can cause discharges to be inconsistent handling in normal conditions is smooth and this garden tractor is suitable for light duty and medium duty tasks. The machine is quiet even when climbing uphill or when cutting through long grass and thickets. The fuel tank is larger than some at 3 1/2 gallons so you won’t have to stop to refuel very often!... more

The following review information was taken from ConsumerSearch.com Best Lawn Tractor Overall John Deere X304 Est. $3,500 The 42-inch John Deere X304 lawn tractor gets the highest ratings in reviews for smooth, even cutting, as well as easy changes between side discharging, mulching and bagging. Riding Lawn Mower and Zero-Turn Riding Mower Buying Guide

Written by admin on May 29, 2009 – 12:38 am -

The term "riding mower" has been used and abused to describe everything from any ride-on mower to a residential tractor. To differentiate, a riding mower is a rear-engine lawn mower on which the operator rides. By comparison, a ride-on mower with the engine in front is a lawn tractor or, if it can do more than cut a lawn, a garden tractor. (Lawn and garden tractors are reviewed separately.) Among rear-engine riding mowers there are two types: conventional riders and zero-turn riders. Conventional riders are nimble but can take 4 to 28 inches (depending on the model) to turn 180 degrees--wasted movement at the end of each directional cut. A zero-turning-radius rider (ZTR) does just that: it turns around in its own track, wasting no movement.... more
