Written by admin on September 26, 2010 – 6:19 pm -Based on reviews from ConsumerReports.org, HomeDepot.com, MowersDirect.com, My3cents.com and others, the reviewers at ConsumerSearch.com concluded the Toro TimeCutter Z4200 is the best zero turn riding lawn mower. Below is some of what they had to say. Zero-turn lawn mowers reduce mowing time on flat lawns with lots of obstacles because they move fast and leave no circle of uncut grass after a turn. However, they don't take attachments and aren't good for sloping lawns.Tests rank the 42-inch Toro TimeCutter Z4200 at the top for ease of use and evenness of cutting, and it can move as fast as 7 mph. The TimeCutter Z4200 zero-turn mower also bags very well when equipped with the optional bagging kit (*Est. $500). Unlike regular lawn tractors,... more

Prevent Lawn Mower Repairs
Written by admin on September 11, 2009 – 11:56 pm -If you live in an area where you use your lawn mower seasonally, then there are some requirements for spring use and winter storage. Spring: When you first get your lawn mower out of storage for the first mowing of spring, check your service or owner's manual for procedures. Drain the oil from your engine. There should be a drain plug underneath the mower. 3. When the oil has drained replace the drain plug... more

Written by admin on June 16, 2009 – 8:40 pm -Cub Cadet iSeries ZTT 42 The Cub Cadet iSeries ZTT 42 was rated the “Best Zero-turn Lawn Mower by ConsumerSearch.com. Here is what they had to say: The big advantage of the iSeries ZTT 42 is that it can turn on a dime -- so it leaves no circle of uncut grass at the end of turns (which means less trimming later). Unlike other zero-turn lawn mowers, the Cub Cadettractor is easier to learn to use since it has a regular steering wheel instead of two levers. It also slips less on sloping lawns – a problem with typical zero-turn lawn mowers.
